About Instructor

Joseph Gallop, over two decades of experience in Internal Martial Arts

With over twenty years dedicated to mastering Internal Martial Arts, I am Joseph Gallop, serving as the principal instructor. Originating from Boston, Massachusetts, I earned my Bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. My passions span music, martial arts, and media, driving my continuous pursuit of knowledge and expertise.

My commitment to holistic wellness led me to delve into Mayo Facial Therapy (structural integration) at the New England School of Therapeutics, where I completed 650 hours of study under the esteemed guidance of teacher Richmond Dickson. Additionally, I hold a certification in Chinese massage from Tak Wong, adding depth to my understanding of the body's healing processes.

Further expanding my repertoire, I am a certified 200-hour yoga instructor from 33 Degree Yoga, embodying a holistic approach to physical and mental well-being. Alongside my dedication to wellness, I express my creativity as the published author of my debut comic book, Iron Dragon, and the Embrace Athletic Apparel clothing line manager.

My journey in Tai Chi is deeply rooted in Vincent Chu's teaching from Gin Soon Tai Chi, with its foundation based on the Yang Sau Chung Lineage. I've also studied extensively with Arthur Goodridge, a student of T.T. Liang.  The Tai Chi curriculum I offer is a reflection of this rich tradition.

My Baguazhang instruction is influenced by Tak Wong and Sun Ba Gang, who, in turn, studied under Fu Zhen Song of Fu Bagua Zhang. I have also had the privilege of learning the Yin Bagua Zhang from the Cao family, taught by Chen Xiao Ping. This comprehensive Baguazhang lineage enriches my instruction, providing a well-rounded approach to this dynamic martial art.
